What is OCT?

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a micron scale imaging technology.  It is analogous to ultrasound, measuring the backreflection of infrared light rather than sound.  The advantages of OCT are:

Why Care About OCT?

OCT can image at the level of histopathology and at video rate.  It is an important clinical technology in ophthalmology and neurology.  It is showing promise (and is FDA approved) in cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, oncology, and numerous other fields.
