How is the High Lateral Resolution Generated?
 


The focus is on how OCT develops its high lateral resolution. Lateral resolution is not controlled by the bandwidth as axial resolution is. It can be considered dependent on the lens used. Understanding lateral resolution is particularly important for catheters and endoscopes. The presentation is designed for those without a background in physics or engineering.
